Pepper Place, November 2
This event has become one of the largest and most popular events in the city because of its attention to tradition and the cultural significance it celebrates. Personal remembrances (ofrendas), family crafts, puppet shows, music, procession, memorial roll call, local artists’ market (mercado), food and beverage vendors, face painters and more are all part of this unique cross-cultural celebration.

Winter Wonderland
McWane Science Center, Begins November 17
Guests can sled down the popular giant slide between the third and second floors in the museum. Or try the zip line, now longer than ever before! Children can even ride a train inside the museum! Mutt-cracker
Alabama Theatre, November 30
The Mutt-cracker, a new twist on a “classic tail,” is essentially Birmingham Ballet’s The Nutcracker with the addition of dogs. The holiday favorite is brought to life with masterful story-telling and exciting dancing by professionals as well as local talented aspiring youth.
